Secret Garden
Nestled in a charming Grade II listed cottage on Haughton Green, Secret Garden offers a unique and welcoming setting for early years care. A thoughtfully designed rear extension, added in May 2003, enhances the space while maintaining the building’s character. To ensure peace of mind, the nursery is equipped with CCTV in each room, as well as cameras overlooking the large, secure garden—complete with both patio and grassy play areas.
At Secret Garden (Darlington) Ltd, our goal is simple: to provide the high-quality care and education we’re so passionate about.
With a warm, homely atmosphere, spacious outdoor areas, and excellent facilities, we create a nurturing environment where children can thrive—and where every nursery day is a happy one.
Our Rooms
We welcome children from 6 weeks old in our Koala Room, where our youngest learners are nurtured in a calm and caring environment. As children grow, they move into our Cubs Room around the age of two — a space designed to support growing independence, confidence, and curiosity.
When they are ready, children join our Pandas Preschool Room, where learning experiences prepare them for the exciting transition to school.
Across all rooms, we focus on each child’s individual interests, using these to inspire learning and support their holistic development — helping every child thrive socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
